Aon Strengthens Analytics Leadership Team
Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has elevated Oriol Gaspa Rebull to the position of Global Head of Analytics Strategy and Operations for Risk Capital, while also appointing three new leaders to further enhance its analytics capabilities.
Within the analytics division, Hetul Patel has been named Head of International Casualty Analytics, Gregory Larcher will take on the role of US Head of Casualty Analytics, and Tamara Soyka assumes the position of Head of Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) Analytics, Commercial Risk.
These strategic appointments highlight Aon’s commitment to expanding its data and analytics prowess, which includes its innovative suite of risk analyzer tools. In his new role, Gaspa Rebull will operate from London and report directly to Paul Shedden, Global Head of Risk Capital Analytics, and Magnus Roe, Global Chief Data and Analytics Officer.
Gaspa Rebull’s responsibilities will include advancing Aon’s analytics capabilities, spearheading strategic initiatives, and overseeing the implementation of data-driven solutions across reinsurance and commercial risk sectors. He will also lead pivotal analytics technology projects, such as the integration of new data governance frameworks and advanced visualization tools that enhance client decision-making processes.
Prior to this promotion, Gaspa Rebull was the Head of UK Short Tail Analytics at Aon, where he managed catastrophe management, actuarial, and research teams to provide comprehensive risk assessments to reinsurance clients.
Patel brings with him a wealth of experience from his tenure as Chief Actuary at Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, while Larcher contributes three decades of expertise in risk management and actuarial reserve analysis. Meanwhile, Soyka, formerly Head of Cat Perils EMEA at Swiss Re, will focus on bolstering risk analytics capabilities throughout the region.
